Reflexology
There are different types of Reflexology Foot, Hand, Facial and Auricular (ears), all of these have specific maps of the body that Reflexologists work from. The body maps enable us to target the areas of imbalance. The signs of imbalance are crystals (uric acid/calcium deposits) this will give a gritty like feel to the area. With gentle manipulation, using the thumb and fingers this releases the imbalances.
Reflexology is an incredibly relaxing treatment from start to finish. As it works on a cellular level, it encourages the body to heal more efficiently, creating the feeling of well being on a physical and emotional level
Reflexology releases hormones such as endorphins and serotonin these promote, better sleep, lifting of mood, reducing, back pain, irritable bowel syndrome, migraines and arthritis. It encourages deep relaxation, detoxifies the body, improves the blood and lymphatic circulation, reduces mental stress, increases energy levels, rebalances hormone levels and so much more.
After your treatment you may feel totally relaxed, euphoric, slightly fatigued, bursting with energy, headache, pain free. These are all natural parts of the healing process. You will be advised to rest, stave away from caffeine, alcohol, and drink plenty of water, this is to flush out any waste products (toxins) that will be floating around the body.
Treatments usually take 45-60 minutes.
Cancer Care Reflexology
Just the word Cancer is terrifying for most people. Being diagnosed with it is a whole different ball game, the fear of the unknown, the worry of what’s going to happen to you and your loved ones. Panic, anxiety, anger and fatigue is a natural part of the course.
This is where Cancer Care Reflexology comes in. It helps to relax the body and mind, improves circulation, relieves constipation, nausea, insomnia, eases tension of muscle spasms, enables you to cope, gives sense of being again.
This amazing light non intrusive treatment, is specially designed to be extra gentle, totally relaxing and safe to give to people of all stages of cancer.
You will be advised to rest, avoid caffeine, alcohol and to drink plenty of water to assist in flushing toxins out of the body.
Treatments can vary between 20 to 45 minutes.
Reiki
Reiki is an amazing energy healing treatment, it has no contraindications, anyone can have this. It is a non intrusive therapy helping you on a spiritual, emotional and physical level
It works on a cellular level which means not only is this relaxing, it aids in pain relief, revitalises, helps you to cope with day to day stresses, enables you to deal with phobias, grief, illness, hormonal issues, migraines, insomnia, and anxiety, the list is endless.
Reiki energy is drawn into the body of the practitioner and released from the hands. Reiki guides the practitioner where the energy is needed, sometimes you may feel the practitioners hands getting very warm like having a hot water bottle on you. They can be really cold or you may not feel anything. Either way you can be guaranteed the healing energy is flowing.
Reiki can create a healing process, giving you the sense of euphoria, deep relaxation, heightened emotions, sometimes headaches, cold- flu feeling, or an upset stomach, these usually last for just a couple of days.
Treatments can vary between 45- 60 minutes.
